Our Year 10 Bronze Duke of Edinburgh’s Award (DofE) students, who began their personal development journey last year, successfully completed their Expedition section.

The Expedition section challenges students to undertake a self-sufficient, adventurous journey in groups of four to seven, developing essential skills such as teamwork, resilience, independence and problem-solving.

Our students successfully completed a two-day expedition in Dale, in the Peak District, where they worked together to navigate their route, prepare meals and camp overnight. Throughout the experience, they demonstrated determination, teamwork and a positive attitude when faced with new challenges.

Once their Bronze Awards have been officially signed off, these students will have the exciting opportunity to progress to the Silver Award and continue their personal development journey.

Following half term, our Year 9 students will also have the opportunity to sign up for this fantastic programme. The Duke of Edinburgh’s Award is a brilliant way to build confidence, develop valuable life skills and gain experiences that will support students in their future education and employment.

A huge well done to all our Year 10 students on this fantastic achievement!
