The Construction Department were welcomed by the Momentum Group this week to explore the industry and how different parts of the company work together to develop new buildings and structures. The students enjoyed a welcome breakfast and a talk from the Associate Director Karl Crawley and Construction Director Dan Lewis (who attended Alsop High School back in 2006). We also heard from two apprentices who were the quantity surveyors, as well as the health and safety specialist (who also attended Alsop back in 1977). The students learnt all about their day-to-day roles and how they fit into the company. We also completed a tour of one of their current projects called 'Swordfish', which is top secret...

It was an incredible day with beautiful weather, all boys showed a brilliant attitude and listened well to all speakers. The boys gave a great impression of themselves and showed off Alsop with great pride.
